Born 1957, Norfolk, UK.
1975-76 Great Yarmouth College of Art and Design. Although I felt an artistic vocation, I found myself without a specific artistic purpose. Eventually I concluded that a conscious search for such a purpose could only lead to a superfluous contrivance.
1976-79 Hull University. BSc. Geology.
1979-87 Itinerant labourer, eventually becoming a carpenter.
1987 Settled in Hampshire making a living as a furniture restorer.
2001 Resumed painting.
2006 Strained tendons in my shoulder made it increasingly difficult for me to paint, however, they are recovering and I hope to be painting again some time in 2009.
