This composition attempts to emphasise the space between objects rather than the objects themselves.

It is not always easy to get isolated objects to belong to, or to command an area as they seem to do in nature.  Instead they can appear insignificant and out of place.

I have also experimented with portraying clumps of grass as silhouettes containing gradated colour, in order to avoid resorting to impressionist techniques.
